I'm a gay man, I'm not a Christian, but have been going to the Vineyard for years. That you mention addressing homophobia in an apology is important. It brings tears to my eyes, actually. I've had absolutely vile stuff said to me by Christians, stuff that I know would never come from Jesus' mouth. I've never heard an apology from a Christian, let alone a pastor, I never heard an apology for propagating hate or for being quiet and passive while hate spreads and leaves its mark. I don't know what your apology would look like, but simply wanting to address it in what you'd add is not only powerful but healing.jcs101missionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04228801544374603259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14475017.post-62640176757912485992008-10-16T16:52:00.000-04:002008-10-16T16:52:00.000-04:00Thanks for your response Joe and I appreciate the ...Thanks for your response Joe and I appreciate the thoughtful approach.

We may still have a different take on offering apologies, but overall I am thankful for your heart for the Gospel brother.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00772168718321735432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14475017.post-61457570592913616752008-10-11T16:38:00.000-04:002008-10-11T16:38:00.000-04:00Very nice, Joe.
